Among the Brave Book Critique

If you are a third child, YOU could be in danger!! Among the Brave is about a cowardly boy, Trey who joins his enemy yto save his friends. Trey becomes a part of the Population Police and goes on a life-changing adventure. The best audience for this book is ones who have read the first four books in the Shadow Chiildren series. That way it makes more sense.
I recommend this book because the author foreshadows many times making anyone not be able to put the book down. One example is after Trey has rescued his friends and they are all safe the last sentence of the chapter is But what did that mean about their futures? One of the strong points in the book is when Trey rescues all of his friends from the Population Police while impersonating a Population Police officer. That was a strong point because the emotion of it is so strong and the way Trey saves his friends is just amazing! One weak point that stood out to me was the beginning. It seemed slow, but it stll introduced the story very well. Another strong point in the story was when Trey takes on a mob of angry and hungry people. The reason they are practically starving is because the Population Police created a new law that people can't sell or buy food unless they work foe the Population Police. That caused one person from every family to line up and wait for hours to join the Population Police for food.
I would recommend this book to all who have read the first four books in the Shadow Children series. Though others who haven't read the first four books could probably read it too because the author gives a very good and clear description of the story.
