The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

He has a secret friend, Shmuel, who is Jewish and lives in a concentration camp in which Bruno thinks is a "playground". One conflict in the Boy in the Striped Pajamas is text vs. world. Lieutenant kotler is extremley rude to Shmuel just like what the Nazi's did to the Jews in the Holocaust. It's amazing that someone can just hate someone else sooooo much that they end up killing them all just because Hitler didn't like them. You don't see other people going around killing others because you don't like them. One thing that angered me in the book was when the germans were laughing at the Jews and mocking them. I really, really, really recommend this book!
